This workshop provides essential training in program development and grantsmanship. Participants will learn techniques for crafting compelling grant applications that capture funders' attention and discover how to design programs that are both impactful and fundable.

SCOTT ALAN DAVIS
Scott Alan Davis serves as Vice President of Inclusion and Economic Development at SEEL, LLC since May 2022 and has been with SEEL since January 2014. In his current role, Scott manages strategy and innovation, workforce development, training and development, economic development, marketing, and all SEEL’s justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) work. Scott's career has spanned throughout community development, specifically focusing on holistic community planning and development, as well as capacity building. Scott is committed to using all his gifts to support and build strong communities. Scott is a native Detroiter who graduated from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, MI with a bachelor's degree in communications arts and science focused on public relations/marketing and business. Scott furthered his education at Marygrove College in Detroit, earning his master's degree in administrative education. Scott is a certified Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion professional and leader. He also received national certifications from the National Training Institute as a trainer in conflict resolution, diversity, multiculturalism, and facilitation.
Scott is committed to supporting all communities and does it through a justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion lens. In 2021, Scott was officially certified as a DEI Professional and Leader by the National DEI Council. In 2023, he was recognized by Crains Detroit Business as a Notable Leader in DEI. In 2015, Scott was honored with the Michigan Chronicle Men of Excellence Award, in addition to the MCL Jasco (SEEL's partner company) Chairman's Award for outstanding service. In December 2024, Scott was honored with the SEEL President’s award for his contributions to the company. Scott currently serves on the board of the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP) and is an advisory board member for the National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition (NEUAC) while chairing their Justice Equity Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI) Board Committee.
Scott is on a mission to ensure that all people have access to sustainable careers, sustainable energy, sustainable communities, and a sustainable future. He does this by training and speaking nationally about the importance of these issues and what each person can do daily on their own journey to foster this change.
